How about a game that was too easy? Yeah, that's boring.
What makes games fun and thrilling is the challenge and the sense of accomplishment that comes from winning. If they were too easy, they'd be boring, and if they were too hard, they'd be annoying.
For learning to be fun and engaging, it needs just the right amount of challenge built into it.
When designing your course, make sure your students are challenged, so they can't be bored, but not too challenged to the point of frustration.
